I bought this at a farmers market in red deer, alberta for $5. It has a lovely subtle sent. I tried to use it by lathering the bar in my hands, then applying what was on my hands to my scalp. This didn’t work very well and I had better luck running the bar on my hair. Once it was in my hair, I found it felt sticky and waxy. It was hard to rub it through all of my scalp. Alot of rincing is required to get all of the shampoo out of the hair. I often had residue at the crown of my head no matter now long I rinsed my hair. I now use a silicone scalp messager to help distribute the product throughout my scalp. This helped with the residue. My boyfriend with shorter hair did not have this problem, so maybe this bar is better suited to shorter hair.

Hi Brooklyn,
Thank you for your product review.
I wondered if you used an apple cider vinegar rinse when using your shampoo bar? This can help a lot with the ‘waxy’ feeling you speak of. To do this, add about a teaspoon of apple cider vinegar to a cup of water and use it as a rinse after you have washed your hair, followed by washing away with water.
