Here enters our Sponge Alternative – an ” unsponge “, handcrafted with 2 layers of organic cotton terry material offering a plush, sponge like feel, and holds up well to use.
It’s reusable and washable. Just throw it in your machine with your other laundry.
Because it’s made with natural materials (cotton), it’s compostable. So when it has reached the end of it’s l-o-n-g and useful plastic free life, just cut it up and put it in your green bin or composter.

I was skeptical at first whether a cotton sponge would scrub as well as conventional kitchen sponges… but it does! It’s performed just as well, if not better, than the conventional sponge, and has the benefit of not shedding plastic bits. Grease and stains come off easily and washing it with the laundry is a breeze. Don’t think I can go back to regular sponges! It’s also much easier to handle and store than a traditional dish cloth.
